I hired Kayla for some headshots while I was visiting Knoxville. As a photographer myself, I really admired that her style was warm but she still retained the whites and natural colors in her photos. So we scheduled our morning session in the Airbnb I rented. First impression, this woman is so smiley and fun, not once did I feel uncomfortable. She guided me to move and play in a way that felt natural to me. She was precise in capturing photos, and I felt like our session couldn’t have gone any better. I have never met with Kayla in person. That is one of the downsides of booking from a different state; However, we had posted to Facebook our need for a Knoxville based photographer and received 200+ recommendations. It took two and a half days to go through everyone's websites and review their portfolio's knowing we had a specific idea in mind for what we were wanting. We narrowed it down to our top 9 photographers and then started asking for pricing, but also still feel the need to disclose that we are a same sex couple looking to have pictures done, even in 2020. There were 3 that we could not work with, but Kayla was an easy choice, she jumped at the opportunity to photograph our wedding and make it as special an easy as possible. Her pricing was not the cheapest we were quoted, but its so reasonable and she is willing to accommodate any request. Honestly we chose to work specifically with Kayla, due to her professionalism and spirit. She is so easy to talk to and puts off such a positive vibe. Her portfolio speaks for itself. There are a lot of talented photographers out there, but we wanted to create art, not just pictures and to do so you need a photographer who can match your energy, be just as excited to take your pictures as you are to receive them and actually be a great person. The fact that she is so easy to work with is why I would recommend her time and time again. She will pull all the emotion out of you required to take a great shot and make you feel comfortable the entire time. She is rare and I wouldn't dream of having anyone else capture this for us.
